Ruskin Park House sits near the top of Denmark Hill, midway between Camberwell, Dulwich Village and East Dulwich. These up-and-coming areas are within easy walking distance, as are Herne Hill, Brixton and Peckham.

There are local shops and pubs nearby. There is a local convenience store about a minute away on Denmark Hill and a Sainsbury’s superstore, with late opening hours, a few minutes walk towards East Dulwich.

The estate sits just next to Ruskin Park itself, which is just one of several green open spaces in the area. Brockwell and Dulwich Parks are also close by and can be reached on foot.

Camberwell has a thriving and eclectic mix of bars and good, cheap restaurants (including a new tapas bar recently awarded five stars by Time Out), whereas East Dulwich is a perfect weekend destination, with markets, restaurants and cafes.  Dulwich Village is well served by boutiques, restaurants and other interesting retailers. There are cinemas in Brixton and Peckham, leisure centres in East Dulwich, Camberwell (although this is currently closed for refurbishment), and Peckham.

Also handy is King’s College Hospital, which is just a few minutes’ walk down Denmark Hill.

Denmark Hill train station is only three minutes’ walk from the estate, and Network Rail trains run to Victoria, London Bridge, Elephant & Castle and Blackfriars.  Services to those destinations are regular and take roughly 10-15 minutes.  Other destinations in the south east include Sevenoaks and Dartford.

Denmark Hill is also now part of the TFL Overground Service linking it with Clapham Junction in the west and New Cross and Shoreditch in the east.

Lots of bus routes serve Denmark Hill, and in particular Camberwell Green, which is a major hub and only short walk from Ruskin Park House.

Underground services exist at Brixton (Victoria Line), Oval (Northern line) and Elephant & Castle (Bakerloo, Northern lines) are all within easy reach, approximately 10 minutes away by bus, or half an hour on foot.
